Description
In 1920 Marcus Garvey erected a flag in honor of Us, adopting the colors Red, Black, and Green. The Red was for Our blood, the Black for Our skin, and the Green for Our land. We are a Nation within a Nation, we'd have to be foolish to think otherwise. Within these 100 years nothing much has changed, with the exception that we are now able to do conduct commerce and spend Our hard earned dollars with Our fair skin counterparts. We were not the beneficiaries of the laws that were put in place. We simply said "hey, I know you don't like Us, not for Our characteristics, personality, or personal conflict, but for the simple reason that We were born with Melanin. Being that We see this as a remedial way of thinking, and know that you may spit in Our food, rake Us over on Our bank loans, or show your hatred for Us in any kind of way, could you please let Us give you Our money and act at least partially civil?" This is what We got, and somehow became pleased by this. They literally just passed a law to not discriminate against Our gravity defying hair in the workplace. You've had this hair for thousands of years and it has just now become illegal for them to not discriminate against your NATURAL HAIR. So in honor of Us, once again, I'd like to erect a new flag both inspired by Marcus Garvey and Our current conditions that We have been to war about for centuries. The Red, the Black, and the Gold. The Red will still represent Our Blood, the Black will still Represent Our B-E-A-UTIFUL SKIN, and the Gold will represent Our economics. Hopefully 100 years from now, somebody who looks like me, will not have to erect a new flag struggling with the same battle. Let this new Flag represent everything about Us, alongside the original RBG flag. The new flag is not to replace the Original. I wish You well and I hope You make great strides with Me on this new, but old venture. If the time is not now, then when will it be?
