Abibifahodie (Black Liberation) Everyone,
When I first joined this platform I was looking for an alternative to fb and this had the potential to be my preferred option so me and my wife joined. The media was new and not well developed so I sat back until updates happened but my wife used it regularly for 18mos until she seen her first nonblack and reported the account which led to my wife's account being removed (WTH????) that was over 3yrs ago.
I still check in rarely to see what the platform looks like and every time I see the same thing (complaints about nonblacks, app issues, and divisive posts (i.e., gender wars and race identity politics)) but with each gap between logins the issues grow instead of decreasing which leads to the overall topic of this post.
I remember when world star hiphop was just beginning and how crappy the site was but it held good information until the degeneracy came. I'm now watching a new platform go through that same issue but this time I know the owner and what they want the platform to be. Which leads me to questions that must be answered.
1. Why do we expect free sites to adhere to standards?
2. Why do we not financial support these creators to ensure they remain loyal?
3. What can we do to get the platform where it needs to be?
4. Is the degradation of the platform a problem of the creator or the users?
5. Do we demand change or leave the platform?
This post is posed for constructive conversations not your personal feelings and babble. I do believe things can better but there must be a consensus on the issues.
