Hello People of Color,
I thought that i should mention a few things about our lives. For decades i have seen black people matching/protesting trying to air out their grievances but nothing has changed. Not even the Churches/Mosques, Hip Hop artist (yeah am talking about the ones showing off their bling bling, money, fancy houses, cars women etc) have done anything to change the Black people’s lives in a positive way. So i think it time for us to say to ourselves ‘Enough is Enough’.
What I have seen is that a bully cannot even think of bullying a strong person however small or big that person might be. What am I talking about here? These people have not been seen beating people who are busy in their businesses and these in most cases happen to be Arabs, Indians and Chinese. Why? These people are organized and the moment they decide to say that they are pulling out their businesses from America, the country can collapse in Seconds. Now What about the Black Person? What does She bring on the Economic Table? Your Answer is as good as mine, nothing. You eat the food that you don’t grow, Clothes, cars, sneakers etc all that you don’t manufacture. The only thing that you could do to chance the situation would probably be to boycott buying anything that is not made by black owned businesses, but remember one thing, how many of these businesses are there to support your cause? Very few of course. Also remember the Jobs that areat present supporting you are in most cases White owned. So you’re in a Fix. You decide to call on the white Jesus or Arabic Allah to help you out only to make things worse. The Pastor or preacher will say a few words of inspiration, you get energized you make a payment (also called contribution/tithe), start going back home feeling all powerful only to get home and find your problems still waiting for you at your door step. Then early Monday morning you wake up and go to that Job you hate so much and the cycle continues till Next Sunday morning. By the way did anyone take time to notice that it’s mostly people from poverty stricken homes that spend more time in Churches and Mosques? Then you’ll wonder why nothing changes? The answer is simply put: Those Deities are all foreign and none of them in their so called ‘Holy’ books condemn Slavery. Infact it’s encouraged. So, like it or not, no help is coming from them, not now not ever!! I know we can still change things only and only if we have a common cause and this Police Brutality should be used as an opportunity to bring all Black people together.
Once you come together you can share great ideas and lay strategies on how to overcome your present challenges and try to change things around and am not talking about arming yourselves to the teeth and fighting back, no!! Am talking about fighting Poverty which is the main cause of all the problems Black people face every day. This poverty is twofold, Mental and Physical. The mental Poverty is obviously lack of knowledge that leads to the Physical Poverty. But if people came together, we would be able to meet People from different walks of life: Doctors, Lawyers, Teachers, business women, Tech experts and even Preachers and more. Just imagine the things you can share, discuss conceive and achieve if you got all these people under one roof!! Anything you can think of can be done!! So why don’t we do this? We spend a lot of time giving excuses to any great ideas that only take us back. If we wanted to set up black owned businesses very fast, do you know that this can be achieved?? I know it can be done in less than one year. We only need to start with saying enough is enough with the old life start a new beginning.
One way is start an organization similar to that of Marcus Garvey. Let people start with at least $30 worth of shares in this organization. This organization should be able to start serious businesses like Universities, banks, Factories, Hotels and resorts, Cruise Liners etc…. These should be employing the children, the Parents, the uncles that made a contribution to the organization. Imagine that!! How many blacks are there in the US? Now multiply half of that population with $30 and then you can see the opportunity that is just flying by. This is the best time, when black people have come together to seize this great opportunity.
Am shocked to find out that we have great black leaders who know the causes of the suffering of their people but avoid tackling this issue? They simply talk politics and religion like those are going to put food on the table. I reached a point where I questioned their “Blackness”. Who are they really working for? Anyway, if we don’t find solutions to our problems right now, our story will keep repeating itself because we don’t learn from it. Wake up black Wo-Man cause no one is going to wake you up, but yourself.
PEACE!!!
