If our leaders and brightest minds cannot even unite, then us as a people may remain estranged and separated. And when I say "separated", I do mean "divided" as in "divided and conquered." It is a tragedy, no matter how comical it appears, that people join these movements solely for money, popularity contests, fame, and bashing their own just because their religious or political beliefs are slightly different, as opposed to joining these movements to organize, build, and advance. I guess because online posting does not equate to any real accountability that some people settle just for pro-Black pics and debating in the comments section; their status updates and tweets do not match their real world endeavors, and they feel comfortable that way. This thing is always going to require us to step out of our comfort zones, and perhaps this is one way that you can tell the difference between who's real and the wannabes. The courage that was for the movement of uplifting and uniting the people has been reduced to the thumbs when they type up their rants and post them for the Facebook administrators to see. My people, my people, when will the falsehood, division, and tribalism end?
