Sheila Samuel I think that our oppressors are trying to show us a new age bucking (bucking is when they would take the alpha male of the group and have sex with them in front of everyone to emasculate and to play on the other slaves mental status. It was to show that they did not care how big you were, how strong you were, and how many others looked up to you, you are not superior). What I'm saying is that they took President Obama (who many of us looked at as one of the most powerful and influential males of our time) and silenced him and shackled him preventing him from saying or signing any laws that will help our race. So while they silenced and shackled him, we hung him for not being able to help us. They used him to show us although he is powerful, he is powerless because they are superior. Making us feel like we are hopeless and they will always rule. This is one reason why it is important to support black-owned businesses because we have to take back the power that we once owned or we will forever go through the worst struggles in life.
