I still can't believe how stupid I was. Left work in a rush, saw the fuel light on but thought "ah I'll make it to the station near home" like an absolute clown. Ended up coasting to the shoulder on Sheikh Zayed Road right around 7pm with cars flying past and my hazard lights on. Called a few roadside assistance numbers and most said fuel delivery wasn't even something they do. Finally found the Trusted Fuel Delivery in Dubai from Battery Zone UAE after a frantic Google search on my phone while sweating in the car. The guy arrived in about 25 minutes which felt like an eternity but honestly way faster than I expected given the traffic. He brought enough petrol to get me to the nearest station and was super chill about it even though I was clearly embarrassed. Cost a bit more than walking to a station obviously but worth every dirham in that moment. Lesson learned the hard way though, never ignoring that light again. Anyone else done something this dumb or am I the only one?
