According to this video, when people use free wi-fi, they are sharing their traffic with everyone around themselves. My local library system has laptop loans to be used inside the library. The library has free wi-fi. If an impoverished person has no home or no home internet, s/he has no choice but to use the library's free wi-fi to apply to jobs, check financial accounts if any, type and send emails, etc. If computer scientists and electronic engineers were so smart, they would figure out a way to make free wi-fi service more secure for customers at libraries and coffee shops. Instead, I think free wi-fi was designed to be a loophole for government agencies and private corporations to collect information from us. #cellphones, #freewifi, #hacking, #spying, #spyware, #malware, #popups, #libraries, #coffeeshops. less

Your libraries might pay full-cost of registration fee for non-credit or continuing education classes through Gale Courses or Universal Classes. Gale Courses began each month and lasts about six to eight weeks. They move very fast. It is easy to get behind and fail. You can learn computer programming, but it is best to have a computer and internet access at home in order to download free software programs and Adobe Acrobat Reader. Universal Classes give members six months to complete a class. For both Gale Courses and Universal Classes, you may be able to enroll in five classes at a time. You must enroll and register through your public libraries website, because links to Gale Courses and Universal Classes via your public libraries may be set up for free admission. #library, #libraries, #free, #education, #jobskills, #class, #classes, #online. less

You have to attend a workshop or a class first and additional information will be provided to you. I have never attended a cheap computer workshop to learn how it works or whether it is offered by the public library or simply a non-profit event hosted by the library. The computer might cost you $150 to $300. I don't know the specific cost of these cheap computers via the public libraries. Realistically, the welfare system is designed to starve to death all Black American slave descendants, who cannot or will not integrate, accommodate, assimilate, or miscegenation. The welfare system only pays recipients enough money to eat poor quality, processed food and live in cardboard boxes. Even $150 to $300 is too expensive for welfare recipients to gain access to computers, the internet, and free online classes that I mentioned earlier. #library, #libraries, #computer, #lowcost, #welfare, #cheap, #affordable, #publicassistance. less

Public libraries near your area might be having a reading challenge for the summer for both adults and children. Supposedly, when you complete the necessary reading hours and activities by the deadline, your name is entered into a raffle for a prize. Last year, I discovered that the library staff, who has ample time on their hands to sit and read all day were competing too. Employees and Friends of the Library associations have a conflict of interest and should be prohibited from entering. I know I won't win, but I am competing anything, because I love books. #library, #libraries, #book, #books, #read, #reading, #knowledge, #wisdom, #learn, #learning. less

Many Black Americans are stuck on welfare due to race discrimination by all races, ethnicities, religions, and language groups, including our own black bourgeoisie. If you know how to spread the word to Black American slaves on welfare and in low wage jobs, please tell them how to gain some job skills for free through their public libraries. I cannot confirm whether getting certificates in these classes will lead to a job or self-employment. #education, #learn, #learning, #jobskills, #job, #jobs, #library, #libraries, #employment, #free. less
