The library has free wi-fi. If an impoverished person has no home or no home internet, s/he has no choice but to use the library's free wi-fi to apply to jobs, check financial accounts if any, type and send emails, etc. If computer scientists and electronic engineers were so smart, they would figure out a way to make free wi-fi service more secure for customers at libraries and coffee shops. Instead, I think free wi-fi was designed to be a loophole for government agencies and private corporations to collect information from us. #cellphones, #freewifi, #hacking, #spying, #spyware, #malware, #popups, #libraries, #coffeeshops. less
