We used to be the kings and queens of the land.
The world in the palms of our hands.
Now we are subjected to twerking videos, unjust shootings, anarchy and welfare
Men are in prison and women aren't taking responsibility for the children's healthcare
Our royal families are long forgotten. Not one page in any history book
The noble jewels, beautiful cloths, respected attire is no longer the acceptable look
We commanded the armies, took care of our people, respected the earth.
We've always been leaders it been our right of direction since birth
How far we have slid into the muck that we have called a fair society
Fake preachers, murdering mothers and hollow prayers with no piety
Appreciation, reverence, and virtue stolen, ripped from the seams of black history
We wouldn't be acting so foolishly if we all knew we are descendants of royalty
