  This has got to stop

  Los Angeles, CA– It has come to the attention of the members of Hourtimenow.com that the Police departments of the United States have declared open season on black people. This is nothing new, but it is new in the era of “Post racialism”. Black men, women and children are constantly on edge in the communities they live in when confronted with the police; be it a passive situation or official, the feelings of fear and dread are the same. One would think that in a country that prides itself on Liberty and Justice for all, for many in the black community, Justice is a pipe dream.

  June 14^th, a black woman named Shantel Davis was shot in the chest after a short car chase with police. Reports first came out that she was trying to put the car in reverse when an officer jumped in the car, gun in hand and tried to put the car in park; his gun accidently discharged into her chest. She subsequently died from her injuries.  I don’t know the outcome of this situation at the moment, but I feel that they will find it a good shooting and the cops will be off to shoot more criminals. Dec. 11, 2009, the son of Theresa Smith was gunned down by police outside of a Walmart in Anaheim Ca. he was reportedly shot in the back of the head and the leg. All the Mayor had to say to that and also the newest shooting that Occurred Over this weekend is that the incidents were “unsettling”

  These are not isolated incidents. We also have seen other unprovoked killings of black men in the cases of Sean Bell, Oscar Grant and Amadou Diallo.  Is a black life worth nothing? Well, if they are going to Prison its worth a lot to America, but if he is going to college; not so much. There is no reason why black people should be shot down in the streets like dogs. I take that back because a dog’s life is worth more than a black person’s life; just ask Michael Vick how important a dog’s life is.

  Hourtimenow.com is appalled at the lack of respect for human life from not only the Government, but also the people who are not standing with us. We are our own enemy also. We need to start watching out for each other. We are at war obviously and we are losing. I’m not advocating violence, but we can’t just lie down and allow ourselves to be killed either. It has been time to Mass up and demand change for our people; it’s either that or die, you choose. The time for the Ignorant are over, its hourtimenow (.com)
