And Concussion is based on the true story of how one doctor wanted to let the public know about the dangers of concussions and how The NFL knew about the problem for years and deceived the players and fans by keeping the info under wraps. When Dr. Omalu decided to take on the $10 billion dollar a year corporation known as The NFL, The NFL saw him as a threat to their "image and integrity" and went to great lengths to discredit his work and to destroy his reputation and career. Several scenes involving head to head helmet hits were very hard to swallow for me & the way The NFL is ran is similar to how The NCAA, NBA, alcohol, pharmaceutical, and tobacco companies that have this poisonous and toxic "profits over people" mentality. This is a very powerful film that The NFL really didn't want to come out & this film has forever tarnished the image and reputation of The NFL
And after watching the film, my whole perception of gridiron football had greatly changed and if I ever have a son, I would never allow him to sign up for the brutal gladiatorial sport called gridiron football
