JONES AND GAINES MYSTERIES

Alberta Jones was a Howard Law School graduate in the early 1960’s who became a famous lawyer In Louisville where she was disappeared (was presumably murdered) in a case that was never solved. She was an assistant prosecutor in Louisville . Rumors say that white supremacists killed her over a case.

White supremacists are rumored to have killed Lloyd Gaines, of St. Louis, an honor graduate of Lincoln University in Jefferson City. Gaines disappeared mysteriously in 1939, after he won had won admission to Missouri University law school in a 1939 United States Supreme Court decision.

He was to be the first black person admitted to the University of Missouri law school. She was she first black woman to pass Kentucky’s bar exam. Twin tragedies!
