In South Carolina, during the American Revolutionary War, troops who fought received slaves as payment which back then was more valuable than cash. Each Colonel was to receive three grown negroes and one small negro. Each Major to receive three grown negroes. Each Captain two grown negroes, Lieutenants one large and one small negro; the Staff one large and one small negro; the Sergeants one and a quarter negro; each private one negro.
Mind you our enslaved Ancestors were not considered human but property. “Chattels, property of their owners.”
These people fled from their home country because many of them were misfits. They killed millions who were indeginous on this land, took their land and enslaved millions more all because they were “great people.” They received fortunes from the oppression and exploitation of others. They have land and inheritances that they did not earn or are privy to.
When I hear Trump and white folk say make America great again this is what goes through my mind. They want to take the easy road and get over every way they can. They fought themselves and others in order to keep this privilege.
At this point when any person, candidate or not is NOT talking REPARATIONS for my people we have NOTHING to talk about. That should be our ONLY agenda when holding a conversation with them. PERIOD!!!
