I think because they are able to meet our people where they're at. Moor means Black it is just a Nationality that happens to describe us as Black too. Basically saying I am a Moor is saying I am Black Man/Woman with a Nationality and saying I am a Muur is saying I am an Indigenous Black Man/Woman with a Nationality.
