We have found it quite interesting the conservatives, mostly Republicans, have taken an approach to show people of the African Diaspora that they used to support the Republican Party. In fact, at the Tea Bag event in Washington, D. C. we encountered a white women wearing a t-shirt stating, "Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was a Republican." This is true. Yet, they purposely disregard political history. Africans supported the Republican Party because they were more involved with the fight of equal opportunity and fair treatment for the liberation of Africans. The Democrats were those who supported total domination and superiority by the white race. This all changed when Africans began supporting LYNDON JOHNSON PRESIDENCY. It is a known fact President JOHNSON was a racist who called his driver "NIGGER." Fortunately, his outwardly racist acts ceased. He began working on behalf of Africans; eventually feeling betrayed when Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. began speaking out against the Vietnam War. King was ultimately assassinated because he expanded his mission from just blacks and civil rights to a broader mission, which included all poor people. Similarly Malcolm X expanded his mission from just the Nation of Islam and the civil rights of black people to a more broad issue, which included the global problem of all brown, yellow, and black people. He called it Human Rights (inalienable) taking his message to the United Nations. Therefore, President JOHNSON felt his work wasn't appreciated.
Moreover, Africans became loyal to the Democratic Party during this period. Likewise, the conservative white race switched to the Republican Party to avoid any agreement with Africans. This point must be clarified to block the violent tactic used by a group of outright liars. Similarly, we are not showing a support to any political group.
